Embarking on the journey of choosing a sperm or egg donor is a significant step in your family-building process. Our genetic counselling session is designed to provide you with compassionate guidance and comprehensive information to make informed decisions that align with your unique family goals.

During the session, our experienced genetic counselors will walk you through the intricate world of genetic considerations in sperm and/or donor selection. We understand that each family is unique, and your values, preferences, and health history play a crucial role in this decision-making process.

Meet with a genetic counsellor to review donor egg and/or donor sperm genetic screening results and compatibility.

Max 2-3 donor profiles are reviewed per appointment.

Optional: Before undertaking a genetic counselling consult, our team will schedule with you a 15 minute remote genetic counselling session where you can ask questions and we can discuss if GenomiCare genetic counselling is a good fit for you and/or your family.

Michaela Sadinsky is a Certified (Canadian) Genetic Counsellor, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology, a Master of Science in Biochemistry, and a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling, all from McGill University. She has worked in prenatal clinics, and currently specializes in cancer genetics.

Michaela has always had a particular interest in fertility genetics, and is interested in making genetic counselling and testing more accessible to patients. Michaela provides bilingual care to her patients in a compassionate manner.

Selina Casalino is a Canadian Certified Genetic Counsellor (CCGC) based in Toronto, Ontario. Selina works in research where she studies how comprehensive genetic testing may be used as a screening tool to help people make informed choices about their health. She also sees patients to provide education about genome sequencing and return genetic findings related to hereditary disease risks, as well as provides counselling around carrier status and reproductive planning. Rachel Mador-House is a certified genetic counsellor, genomic research scientist and business developer. Her goal is to help patients and families understand genetic testing and enable communities to access trusted experts. Rachel strives to use the latest genomic technologies to help her community and as done so for almost a decade. As a research scientist at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, she helped the medical community learn more about degenerative genetic diseases. After completing her genetic counselling training she went on to run the Maritime Newborn Screening Program and volunteered for the Cystic Fibrosis Canada and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Atlantic Canada. She also helped build a precision medicine unit for the largest cancer treatment center in Arizona and is a founder and board member of several organizations aimed at helping people access and use genomic technologies. She is a specialist in prenatal, newborn, metabolic, and cancer genetics.
