This process helps them make informed decisions about their family planning and navigate the emotional and ethical complexities associated with genetic testing and assisted reproductive technologies.

Expanded Carrier Screening Consult

Meet with a genetic counsellor to discuss if expanded carrier screening is right for you.

This appointment is for those who have had expanded carrier screening and would like to review their results or for those who are interested in expanded carrier screening and would like more information.

Please note: the cost of expanded carrier screen testing is not included.

Embarking on the journey of choosing a sperm or egg donor is a significant step in your family-building process. Our genetic counselling session is designed to provide you with compassionate guidance and comprehensive information to make informed decisions that align with your unique family goals.

During the session, our experienced genetic counselors will walk you through the intricate world of genetic considerations in sperm and/or donor selection. We understand that each family is unique, and your values, preferences, and health history play a crucial role in this decision-making process.

Meet with a genetic counsellor to review donor egg and/or donor sperm genetic screening results and compatibility.

Max 2-3 donor profiles are reviewed per appointment.

Free 15 Minute Consult

Optional: Before undertaking a genetic counselling consult, our team will schedule with you a 15 minute remote genetic counselling session where you can ask questions and we can discuss if GenomiCare genetic counselling is a good fit for you and/or your family.

Michaela Sadinsky

Michaela Sadinsky is a Certified (Canadian) Genetic Counsellor, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology, a Master of Science in Biochemistry, and a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling, all from McGill University. She has worked in prenatal clinics, and currently specializes in cancer genetics.

Michaela has always had a particular interest in fertility genetics, and is interested in making genetic counselling and testing more accessible to patients. Michaela provides bilingual care to her patients in a compassionate manner.

Michaela is fluent in English and French.

Selina Casalino MSc, CCGC

Selina Casalino is a Canadian Certified Genetic Counsellor (CCGC) based in Toronto, Ontario. Selina works in research where she studies how comprehensive genetic testing may be used as a screening tool to help people make informed choices about their health. She also sees patients to provide education about genome sequencing and return genetic findings related to hereditary disease risks, as well as provides counselling around carrier status and reproductive planning. She is excited to join the Genomicare team and expand her counselling skills into helping couples interested in starting (or growing!) their families.

Breanne Dale MSc, CGC

Breanne Dale holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling from McGill University. Since 2017 she has worked in a General Genetics clinic where she provides genetic counselling to children and adults about a broad range of genetic results and conditions. She recognizes that each individual, couple or family she meets with is unique and is passionate about helping them make informed decisions that align with their own personal beliefs, values and goals.

Andrea Djolovic is a Certified Genetic Counsellor and Founder of GenomiCare. Andrea has worked as a clinical genetic counsellor in the fields of fertility, prenatal, pediatrics and cancer genetics. Her international training and perspective has enabled her to take on education and protocol development to improve patient access to genetics, outside of the genetics clinic. Her main interests include improving awareness of services in Canada, and providing support to patients, clinics and clinicians.
