Embarking on the journey of choosing a sperm or egg donor is a significant step in your family-building process. Our genetic counselling session is designed to provide you with compassionate guidance and comprehensive information to make informed decisions that align with your unique family goals.

During the session, our experienced genetic counselors will walk you through the intricate world of genetic considerations in sperm and/or donor selection. We understand that each family is unique, and your values, preferences, and health history play a crucial role in this decision-making process.

Meet with a genetic counsellor to review donor egg and/or donor sperm genetic screening results and compatibility.

Max 2-3 donor profiles are reviewed per appointment.

Expanded Carrier Screening Consult

Meet with a genetic counsellor to discuss if expanded carrier screening is right for you.

This appointment is for those who have had expanded carrier screening and would like to review their results or for those who are interested in expanded carrier screening and would like more information.

Please note: the cost of expanded carrier screen testing is not included.

Jennifer DiRaimo
(She/Her/Hers) MS, CCGC

Certified Canadian Genetic Counsellor Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology and Physical Anthropology from Trent University and a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Jennifer has 14 years of clinical experience working in diverse areas, including prenatal genetics, newborn screening, general genetics, and cancer genetics. She also has six years’ experience working in the rare-disease non-profit space with individuals and families with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and other platelet disorders. Jennifer is dedicated to delivering compassionate care and helping clients and families navigate complex genetic information.

Michaela Sadinsky

Michaela Sadinsky is a Certified (Canadian) Genetic Counsellor, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Cell Biology, a Master of Science in Biochemistry, and a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling, all from McGill University. She has worked in prenatal clinics, and currently specializes in cancer genetics.

Michaela has always had a particular interest in fertility genetics, and is interested in making genetic counselling and testing more accessible to patients. Michaela provides bilingual care to her patients in a compassionate manner.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Biochemistry from Western University, a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Western University, and a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling from the University of Toronto. Rosettia has worked in prenatal, newborn screening, general, and cancer genetics.

Selina Casalino MSc, CCGC

Selina Casalino is a Canadian Certified Genetic Counsellor (CCGC) based in Toronto, Ontario. Selina works in research where she studies how comprehensive genetic testing may be used as a screening tool to help people make informed choices about their health. She also sees patients to provide education about genome sequencing and return genetic findings related to hereditary disease risks, as well as provides counselling around carrier status and reproductive planning. Andrea Djolovic is a Certified Genetic Counsellor and Founder of GenomiCare. Andrea has worked as a clinical genetic counsellor in the fields of fertility, prenatal, pediatrics and cancer genetics.
